Hickman Companies, established in 1895, is a holding corporation for more than 75 companies and related entities with operations in manufacturing, farming, real estate, oil and gas, and entertainment. Hickman Companies is owned by its President and CEO, Holt Hickman.

Founded Novatel-Carcom and built the company to have the highest cellular telephone sales volume in the U.S. Novatel-Carcom was larger than Motorola or Nokia at the time it was acquired by the Alberta Government Telephone Company.
