SkyDrill Power Systems, LLC was fully funded on March 31, 2008 by Hickman Investments, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hickman Companies, Inc.  Hickman Companies, established in 1895, is a holding corporation for more than 75 companies and related entities with operations in manufacturing, farming, real estate, oil and gas, and entertainment.  Hickman Companies is owned by its President and CEO, Holt Hickman.

Grew family business, Fort Worth Battery and Automotive, to be the world’s largest retailer of automotive air conditioning.

Founded Lone Star Manufacturing Company and developed it to be the largest company of aftermarket air conditioning systems in the U.S.

Founded Specific Cruise Systems, which is the largest manufacturer of after-market cruise controls in the U.S.

Founded Novatel-Carcom and built the company to have the highest cellular telephone sales volume in the U.S.  Novatel-Carcom was larger than Motorola or Nokia at the time it was acquired by the Alberta Government Telephone Company.

The companies held by Hickman Companies, Inc. currently conduct business in 54 countries.

Owns in excess of 2.4 million square feet of office space, shopping centers, & warehouse space in Fort Worth, Texas.  (This does not include the Stockyards.)

Largest shareholder of Stockyard Station and Billy Bob’s Texas which operate and occupy 107 acres in the Historic Stockyards District.
