SkyDrill CEO and President, Barry Sterling, invited as a delegate to energy and climate security forum in Washington, D.C.

FORT WORTH, Texas (April 2, 2009) – Barry A. Sterling, President and CEO, of SkyDrill Power Systems, LLC has been invited to participate as a delegate to Mapping U.S. Energy and Climate Security, a day-long forum being held in Washington, D.C. on April 29, 2009.  The forum is organized by the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and the Markle Foundation.

Mr. Sterling was selected for his expertise in one of the core issues the Obama Administration will need to address, and he will be part of a 15-person review group, drawn from the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and federal, state and local government agencies.  The goal of the event is to generate recommendations for the President’s team in the White House and across relevant agencies.

According to Ms. Sharon Burke, Vice President for Natural Security at CNAS, “The Obama Administration has laid out an ambitious agenda for energy and climate security, with a starring role for the federal government. The details of that agenda and how exactly the government will carry it out are open questions, which this conference will address.”
