We got some great news coming out of the weekend, when we were notified that the team lead by SkyDrill (self-named the Fort Irwin Renewable Solar Technology or FIRST Team) has been chosen among a select, small group of teams to advance to the next phase of consideration. 

To bring everybody up to speed, this is a proposal to build up to 500 MW of solar energy on federal land within the boundaries of Fort Irwin, California.  This is a HUGE amount of solar power that will be among the world's largest installations.  Barry and I will be travelling to California next week to be part of the team presenting an oral presentation to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other DOD personnel.
